TechHealth Board Member to Receive National Medal of Science
President Bush today announced that TechHealth Director, Dr. Leonard Kleinrock, is to receive the National Medal of Science. This is the highest scientific honor that the United States can present to a scientist, and it is personally presented by the President.
President Bush will present the Medal at the White House in September. The citation for Len’s medal will read:
"For fundamental contributions to the mathematical theory of modern data networks, for the functional specification of packet switching which is the foundation of the Internet Technology, for mentoring generations of students and for leading the commercialization of technologies that have transformed the world."
